You might have clicked on this post because you’re looking to see some cute puppy pictures and I did not disappoint. Zoe is my 3 month year old Teacup Yorkie. She is absolutely adorable and cute. I can’t get enough of being with her. The joys of coming home to her jumping around the room is something that I cherish a lot. She makes me so happy.
When we got Zoe, we had no idea how to take care of a young puppy. She was 2 months old when we first I got her. The breeder told us that she was the better looking puppy out of her siblings. Zoe has one sister and one brother. We are not sure whether or not they were going to separate homes yet, but we had the chance to meet her other sister the day that we bought her.
We ended up buying Zoe with no previous knowledge of how to take care of her and no puppy supplies. All we had was the bag of dog food that Zoe was eating back at the breeder’s house and the advice that we should feed her milk. That day, Zoe ended up being a handful. She was crying and not happy. We didn’t really know what to do. All we could do was try to console her and make her feel better. She’s my heart, so I wanted her to feel better.
After a couple of days, we were not getting enough sleep. Zoe was crying most of the night and she wakes up all throughout the night. And plus, she also wanted to sleep on our bed at night. She was so tiny that we were scared we would roll onto her and hurt her.
It has been quite a few weeks after the first couple of nights. We have since purchased MANY supplies to take care of her. Zoe loves her chew toys, doggie treats, food/water bowl, and her kong. We also bought her a kennel w/ mattress, dog bed, dog food, dental cleaner, pee pads, and etc. I’ve got to admit, I feel like a real dog owner when I have all of these things. I also feel really confident and ready to take care of her. It’s so weird that we started with nothing for her and then we got all of these things. No, I don’t think that you need all of these materials to actually be a good dog parent, but it helps A LOT.
Zoe is not easy to take care of because she’s still a puppy. Oh! I forgot to mention that we also got her puppy insurance and she got more of her vaccines. Anyways, she is not easy to take care of. It took us 1 month to potty train her to 90%. She is not house-trained at all. And she is very comfortable with us that she teethes with our hands. She bites us constantly. Zoe has grown in her initial set of teeth so far, but we’re waiting on these to fall out because we want her adult teeth to start growing in.
What else can I say about Zoe? She loves playing with her toys. I think she really loves playing with her pink elephant and the tiny pink rabbit. I have so much I’m looking forward to enjoying with her 🙂 She’s the spunkiest, cutest, and happy Yorkie!
