If you’re anything like me, you’re horrible at managing your time. Even though I own two businesses, I’m not perfect. I have to spend hours working on my tasks and that takes a lot of my energy. I often feel like I am at a lost for how to manage my time. When I look at my website, I often feel like I am not doing well enough to manage it. It’s true, we will all feel this way at least once, but you have to pull through. I’m going to give my best five tips to how to manage your website effectively:
What do I mean by practice? I mean that you have to work on your website A LOT. You have to put in many hours day and night. It takes practice to get good at something. If you are not comfortable with all of the settings and programs, then you need more practicing.
2. Hire an assistant
I’ve said this many times before. If you don’t have an assistant helping you, I’m sorry but you’re not working effectively. You cannot do everything. Hire someone to help you. If I could, I would hire two assistants to get double the work done.
3. Plan out your blog posts in advance
I think of the blogs posts weeks in advance, and then I have my assistant create the banners and ads to go with it. This saves me a lot of time that I would have wasted thinking of new content. I also always have a backup if I need something to write about right away.
4. Set your expectations day by day
Set four hours in the day to work on your content. You have to work really hard within those four hours. If you’re not putting the work in for that day, you are easily going to lose track of your to-do list.
5. Set up days that you want to work and make it your routine
Managing your website takes time and if you don’t make time to do it, then you are going to be at a huge loss. Try to post content frequently. When you have a great schedule, everything else will seem so easy. Good luck 🙂
