How to believe in yourself

labor-work-500x500

I started building everything from nothing. I had no money to start and I only had my partner as support. My parents were supportive in some way, but they were condescending about it. There were days in which they were supportive and there were most days in which they were not supportive. And that was hard. It’s actually, still hard. They have so many doubts about me and I’m like “why are you doing this to me?” Therefore, my best advice is to ignore them. You don’t have to cut them out of your life, but just know that they will not be a part of your dream. And that may seem kind of sad. However, it will be okay.

My current dream is to get my masters in political science and to pursue being a professor. And I also recently moved out of my parent’s home. They were not supportive of me moving out, but I wanted to get out of there so badly. I wanted to start building my own home and my own future. I’m young and determined, but I would never want to go back and live with my parents. I love being independent and I love growing up. There are so many things that people will never understand about you. And you just have to pursue your dream with full force. Don’t let a day go by that you don’t strive to go forward. You will be much happier. And you will live a much more fulfilling life.

Best of luck in all your future endeavors!
